What is great about Storynory is that it is free and one can also listen to certain stories through their free audio option for them. What is great about the literacy website is that they also have other points of social media that one can follow and they even have a YouTube. Students and educators can read or listen to more of the podcasts through iTunes and other podcatchers. You can also download the application on the Apple App Store, which has no advertisements displayed. Overall, this is a website that is both free and informative. We would like our students to have access to as many resources that are both extensive and free as well. They aspire to have every single culture and language represented in their website so that every student can read through literature that can help enrich their appreciation of their heritage as well as others. The website has organized links such as the book list, but they also give links based on how one would like to filter the book choices. One can choose books by the language it is spoken in, books by color, books by shapes, books by format and even books by genre and character. Ponce ED638 Fall 2022 Dr. Rivera IRA Newsletter Project #4: ABCYa https://www.abcya.com/   ABCYa is a helpful literacy website that has free printables as well as games that students can use to help improve their literacy. This website is mainly geared towards younger students as you can see by the types of worksheets and games that they offer. Nevertheless, students can still benefit from this website as it is enticing the students to practice on their literacy skills so that they are able to play the games properly.  Teachers love using free resources and who would not agree with that! Websites such as ABCYa offer other areas of literacy skills such as grammar and one can even sort the games based on theme or even genre. This website is helpful and is actually partnered with IXL, which is another company that the Guam department of education uses for their students. It helps keep learning fun, but also meaningful.

This website is used to promote children literacy by providing resources for students as well as educators and the families of the students. There are many areas that students, educators and families can access. What is great about this website is that it also focuses on how to help our students become better readers. They have areas such as general literacy tips and great times to read in child care that they have in tabs as you navigate through the website. The first tab that you will see once you start navigating through the website is titled “Ask Jeanna! - Reading Q & A’s” as this area is asking and answering important questions. Ponce ED638 Fall 2022 Dr. Rivera IRA Newsletter Project: Effective Literacy Website #2 Tumblebooks The second literacy website is a website called Tumblebooks  https://www.tumblebooks.com/  and it is a website that has a plethora of children’s books that range from Kindergarten and all the way to 6th grade. Many of these books include animated books as well as books that students can read along to. What is great about this literacy website is although it is based on a paid subscription, the amount of valuable resources that they offer is worth the amount that their subscription is. They have over 1,100 titles of books that can range from non-fiction to fiction and could even be given in different languages such as Spanish and French! It is a website that has a wide-array of research-based strategies for teachers, administrators, parents and anyone that is keen on helping a young student become a strong reader that can read independently. Reading Rocket’s goal is to bring the reading research and present it in a way that shows parents and educators what strategies work. It is important to note that Reading Rockets gives free resources about how to teach students to read and how to positively help those that are struggling in learning how to read.   Internet Tools for the Classroom I have decided to explore the use of Prezi, Slideshare and Jamboard by Google. These are internet tools that I believe will be beneficial in the classroom, regardless of the mode of learning. The third website that one should check out is called Jamboard. Jamboard is an application that is offered by Google in the Google Apps. It is a collaborative application that a teacher can utilize for their classroom, regardless if the students are in the classroom or outside the classroom. Jamboard is straightforward in the controls of how to navigate it and allows students to create and give their insights on the topics at hand in multiple forms of answering. Jamboard allows students to answer questions posted on Jamboard through typing and placing an online sticky note into the Jamboard slide.
