Slideshare: The Internet Tool to help You Learn From the Experts!

 

Internet Tools for the Classroom

I have decided to explore the use of Prezi, Slideshare and Jamboard by Google. These are internet tools that I believe will be beneficial in the classroom, regardless of the mode of learning.



The second website that I have chosen is called Slideshare. Slideshare is an internet tool that allows individuals to create informative slides that they can share to a wider range of audience. If you have ever wondered about a topic you may not have any familiarity with and wanted to comprehend the subject matter quickly, Slideshare is the internet tool to use! It has over 18 million uploads in 40 different categories of topics. Top experts use Slideshare and it would mean that the presentations presented in the website are informative and come from those that are experts on the topic.

Overall, I found Slideshare to be a website that one can utilize in the classroom as students will be able to explore different topics that they find interest in. This allows students to read and improve their literacy skills as they are invested in the presentations shown since they have the option of choosing the topics at hand. Videos, infographics, documents and presentations are all things that can be accessed on this website. It truly will spark interests in our students as it did with my own students this year when I implemented the exploration of the website during DEAR time.
